Studio Events
Group Lessons
Group lessons are supplemental to private lessons. This gives students an opportunity to 'practice performing', learn about music history, go deeper into music theory and play challenging team games.
Recitals
Students participate in two recitals each year. Recitals, not only, strengthen their ability to play but also expose them to other great music they wouldn't have discovered otherwise.
Masterclasses
Students have one masterclass each year. They are given the opportunity to perform for and get feedback from concert pianist Chuckie Ibay.
NVMTA Events
Spring Festival
Spring Festival is a non-competitive event that gives students an opportunity to perform and get constructive feedback from
teachers - a written evaluation. Students accumulate points over the years that go towards trophies.
General Recitals
Northern Virginia Music Teachers' Association (NVMTA) puts on multiple General Recitals each year. This gives students an opportunity to 'practice performing' in a non-competitive environment and to hear wonderful music from other students in Northern Virginia.
Theory Mastery Day
Theory Mastery Day is an all volunteer event put on by Virginia Music Teachers' Association (VMTA) once a year to test students' knowledge in music theory through twelve different levels.
